I am going for 2 months to India before finally landing in Canada / Vancouver
My resume reads 8 years as System Administrator
(Network support and PC support)
I have MCSE certification and I will try and study to get CCNA certification.
But something tells me I should do ORACLE DBA or SAP to be in a better position to land a job.
What do fellow CD's think. Or is it too short a time to learn and implement
Please advise.

You will be diversifying from systems to applications ... SAP is built on Oracle as a back end ..... It would be risk adverse to do DBA , spent some time in a DBA role and then take SAP Basis Admin as the next step - you can directly jump over to BASIS Admin (I wish some Basis guy can validate this ) but jobs in Basis should be lesser than in Oracle DBA . My answer may be biased though.

How about UNIX - Red Hat / Sun Solaris ?
