Purpose: (Background):
An experienced Oracle Developer is required to work on
outstanding support calls related to the Transit Management Suite
of Oracle Applications.
Outstanding support issues exist for our Client Server Technology
Oracle Applications.
• Department of Public Works and Services, Fleet Services
Branch Equipment Master Application for the Starter, Placer,
Planner and Supervisor roles;
o Bus Fueling Count Down Application.
Outstanding support issues exist for our WEB based Oracle
Application Server Applications:
• Department of Public Works and Services, Transit Services
Branch
o Work Management Systems for Bus Operator Booking,
Dispatching, and Timekeeping;
o Transit Pass Management Systems of ECOPASS,
Federal Government Program, and Student Annual
Pass.
o Alteration of the Student Annual Pass system to
accommodate the Adult Annual Pass and Semester
Pass programs to be implemented in January 2006.

Terms of Reference:
Duties to include the training and mentoring of developers new to
the Oracle development environment.
-Assist with the on-going maintenance and support activities of our
Oracle Application Server (9i and lOG).
Support Transit Management Suite of Oracle Applications:
• Provide second level support for operational issues on existing
production systems.
• Analyze outstanding problems and provide solutions for existing Oracle Application pertaining to forms, reports and PL/SQL.
• Contact users to define and access support issues.
Support & Expertise on the Oracle Application Server:
• Provide expertise level support for operational issues on existing
production application servers.
• Analyze problems and provide solutions for existing Oracle Application Server Java, HTTP, Forms and Reports services.
Training & Mentoring on the Oracle Internet Developer Suite of products:
• Provide current expert level of training and mentoring to junior Oracle developers.


Qualifications:
Three-year university degree or community college diploma, preferably in Computer Science or Business Systems, coupled with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in system analysis and design.
At least 3 years experience in developing Oracle forms/reports, designing
Oracle database schema/tables in a Windows 2000/Windows XP environment.
Advanced knowledge of the Oracle Internet çkper Suite and Oracle
Application Server technologies.
Knowledge of database concepts and structured system analysis and design techniques.
Ability to apply sound conceptual thinking to complex business problems and implement practical solutions.
