Where are you located in Ottawa ? There is an Indian association in Ottawa.
There should be a diwali night very soon. You can visit them and find out more information. Also there are Telugu clubs, tamil clubs, bengali clubs and gujju clubs in town.

Post your message/s here if you need more information. There are a few other folks from Ottawa also active in this forum.
