IT Services - Business - do we need GST/ HST ?

I/We have a new IT and Non- It consulting services business started in ON Canada and duly incorporated it.

It also a business number assingned for corporate taxation purposes.
Do we need to register the business number for GST/ HST for the kind of business we are in ? that is for IT/ Non-It consulting services ?

I would appreaciate a suggestion from someone in the same line.

If your gross annual turnover would be > 30K , u need to register for GST

One can voluntarily register even if gross turnover is < 30k. Once you are registered, you have to charge GST/HST. If you hire any employeee or wish to pay yourself, you need to register for payroll deductions.
