A Canadian company I know, is currently looking for JAVA developers. If you know anyone who meets *ALL* of the following criteria and is looking for a position, please mail me the CV or better still comment on this post.

- University degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

- 1-4 years of work experience in JAVA (Must have at least one full
year of work experience in JAVA)

- Strong Communications skills and ability to interact with clients

- "LEARNABILITY"

- Flexible and able to travel to the US (preferably on a TN) and MUST
be eligible to work in Canada.

Helped analyze, design and develop some of the Java modules. Developed Enterprise JavaBeans, entity beans and session beans while accessing Oracle database using JDBC.

The project was developed on Java 2 platform using HTML forms, Servlets, Java Server Pages, JavaBeans, JDBC, PL/SQL and stored procedures. The application was developed using BEA’s Weblogic server , Visual Page 2.0a, Visual Café 4.0 and Oracle 8.0 on Solaris.

Project: Online Customer Account Information
Designed and developed an Intranet based customer account information application at Ashwin Choksi & Co., a brokerage firm, Ahmedabad stock exchange. The application maintains customer information in Oracle and allows the creation, modification and viewing of customer brokerage account and trading information. Designed and developed the database and access methods using HTML forms, JavaScript, Applets, Servlets, JDBC, PL/SQL and Stored Procedures on Oracle.

Project: Oracle Financial customizations for local taxes
On a consulting assignment with Vasishta Infotech to customise the Oracle Financials package to incorporate local taxes like sales tax, corporation tax, octroi, etc. These local extensions were added to the Oracle financials package to cater to local financial needs/regulations.

Project: Payroll processing
Automated the processing of the payroll system for Videocon International Ltd. The application had hooks into the human resources databases to access the related employee information to collect payroll data. The user interface to the application was developed using Oracle Forms 4.5. Designed and developed the database and access methods using Oracle Developer 2000, Forms and Report 2.0.

The application was developed on Windows NT using Oracle 7.3, Developer 2000, Forms 4.5 and Report 2.0.


Project: Order entry and Payment processing
Automated the Order entry and payment processing application for Gujarat Perstorp Ltd. The application was a client-server application using Visual Basic and Oracle. The application tracked orders from receipt to delivery and generated invoices, notifications, status updates for various departments and closed the order entry upon receipt of payment. I worked on stored procedures in Oracle and designed and developed the Visual Basic forms incorporating the necessary business logic.

The application was developed on Windows NT using Oracle 7.3, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures and Visual Basic 5.0


Kansult Computers - Programmer July 1995 - December 1996

Project: Library information system and book inventory system
Developed a library management system for the State government of Gujarat. The application allowed the tracking of books, generated reminders when books were overdue and also maintained an inventory of the books. It used the inventory system and the tracking system to determine the optimum level of inventory needed for each book or book categories. The application also generated reports. I developed various modules of the application using Developer 2000.

The application was developed using Developer 2000.

Project: Sales tax and Income tax package
Developed a software package that calculated the sales tax and income tax values of an item based on the value of the item, the number of items and other parameters based on a complex schedule published by the state and central governments. The software had bilingual capability. I developed various modules of the application.
