Both markets if it is only business and thus I stand true it is not only business by just making it available to only part of the market no matter how big market may be. I have no question about the size of the Indian market but the bottom line is it is not only for business purpose.
Also, most of us agree there is not country with guts who will in the near future use Uranium (exception depleted) in a war then there is no reason not to tap on any market out there.
After all, India may not be able to spare so much cash to invest in nuclear energy. Nuclear energy is not lollypop as you mentioned and I accept it with open mind.
This is funny!!! The economy of India, measured in USD exchange-rate terms, is the twelfth largest in the world, with a GDP of around $1 trillion (2008). (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_India)
Deal is offered to India and not to other countries because India already has advanced nuclear technology and has not proliferated the same. Offering to other markets means either offering to some one who don't have the technology or some one who has proliferated in the past. Neither is wise. Deal is for business + it also develops strategic relationships.
make a great point and very politely phrasing it strategic partnership. Okay fine I agree but honestly 1 trillion for over a billion people is like a loaf in the mouth and no shirt on the body and tonnes of people under one roof. Sorry if it is offensive nothing personal, just simple math that I learned in India. Unless, you India is planning no infrastructure development and putting th etrillions in people pockets

I do not agree with your math and u missed the link I provided but anyway, I believe India is better off without this deal. However, if there are no strings attached to the deal then it is all good. Why do you think Iran want to develop it sown and not accepting Russia deal? There is something to think about.
Also remember when there is hunger nothing goes forward and yes according to your math every one should be well off but you forgot the few who own the most and the rest..... you know. Also corruption takes a huge chunk away for the pile.
Learning should be every ones' right. Nuclear power may generate more jobs in manufacturing industry but will bring global warming as well. They said if India and China together consume as the US per person then there are very few days left for that part of the world and people would have to migrate.
Anyway, I am going off topic but wanted to mention all these things are related and one should consider looking for other safer and renewable energy sources and home grown instead of imported.
