Is there a forum in canadiandesi which is "TSX Stock Market" or "Canadian Stock Market" or "Desi Investor" or "Share Bazar", if not can we please have one so that people who are interested in the stock market can discuss about stocks, bonds and mutual funds. It could be any Stock Market like Canadian Stock Market, Indian Stock Market, US Stock Market, Japan, China also if it is decided to make a new forum on it the there should be sub forums for different countries markets.

Sorry if being a new member I am requesting little too much. But I think its a good way for helping each other out in understanding the investment options by discussing with each other and also getting information on good stocks.

There should be a disclaimer with that forum as "Anything discussed in this forum is completely an individuals views and canadiandesi is not liable for any kind of communication in this forum. Please discuss with your financial advisor before buying or selling anything discussed in this forum or the sub forums"

Thanks for your suggestion, choomantar.
I think it's a good idea to create a separate category for this since we see such frequent posts on this topic.
Moderators cannot create new categories under the forum, but I'm sure GG has seen this topic and will do as he sees fit.
In the meantime, please feel free to start any threads or posts under the Financial Planning category at:

Sounds good. Please don't "choomantar" after that!

Oh for sure....I am sure going to have a good activity in that forum if it is made...I just started playing in the Stock market with my TFSA account and though the market has been little volatile I have already made a little profit....Thanks to the valuable TIPs from my network who are into financial planning and also asset management companies.....as they do their homework well.....

I wanted to get this forum in place so that we could discuss the investments in it...so that all the CD users also have knowledge of the market and ...also some good TIPs..... and discussions.....

I sure will not go "choomantar".....I am here to stay and make money... and help other to make money.... I am not completely aggressive in my investments.... but yes 20% of my investments are in high risk area...from which I have made good profits.... rest 80% is long term blue chips...

To pratickm:

Thanks for the link to the Financial Planning category. I like the discussions there.
But it’s more generic to the Financial Planning than concentrating on the Investments... The ones I requested are more specific to the Stock Market.... mainly TSX and Indian Stock Market....

Like...for e.g. I get a good TIP and I want to discuss it here to get views of the experienced CDs into this area....before I jump into it.... and that way CD readers also get good TIP and knowledge of it.....

Sometime back I had a TIP for TPL - Tethys Petroleum Limited (TPL-T)....at 0.95/stk with a 4star rating and expected to go 1.50/stk it did touch 1.47/stk in 15 days time and it came down to 1.32/stk...... GOOD MONEY.... now I just got an update that it’s again 4 star and is expected to go to 2.5/stk in a years time..... who knows next 15 days it would....

This is what I want to discuss in this forum.... what does The Gurus of CD think about it?

Sure to have the Disclaimer:

Yes, I agree that FP isn't the best category but that's the closest we have until the new one is created.
Don't let the want of a forum category stop you from posting :)
