Vivek,
You have mentioned that you are an Analyst. Are you a buisiness analyst? are you into the IT industry?
Canada is useless for most of the professions other than IT. Even then most of the IT firms are in recession. YOu are earning around 50K rupees a month which is a very good one if you are staying from your own house. Also you do not mention your city . For eg. 50K may not be as good in Delhi and much better in Indore etc...
People who come to Canada and suceed are mostly the ultra rich, IT people, lowly educated and people with drive to work their a$$ off to get a lifestyle that they want. It is not easy to survive here if you are meek and lazy.
Of course , doing an education is one of the best options for people like you (educated) but then donot forget that you may have to wait for 6 months - 12 months to get admission to a course and course fees are pretty steep (depending on the money that you have).
Immigration consultants always paint a pretty picture to make as much people to come to Canada so that they can get fees and Canada wants as many people as possible for the fees and to fill the factories for heavy jobs, for their tax money , CPP, EI moeny and renting and spending moeny in Canada so that the long time immigrated people can get money..
Also people who come here are some who want clean air, pollution free environment, no corruption, world class roads, AC buses, Free schooling, free libraries, free food (depending on the area) etc..
You also should not forget that if 33 million people in Canada can make this nation a top class industrial nation, then how much hard work they contributed and how they even do not have time to make and grow children b'cos they are always busy at work (reason for the small population). You also should not forget the 5 month heavy winter in Toronto ( 9 months cold) and the failing health care system and also that it is around $1800 for a return flight ticket to India (which is 9 month savings or even more than that for the average desi immigrant who works in a Non IT job)
So what I would advise you to do is to list your priorities and see how you can achive it in Canada and then decide.

Hope this helps

Peace by TK

Hey thanks a lot Tk for your peice of advice,Iam not working as a business analyst,Iam working as a Data Analyst. And Iam looking definitely at making a career in IT,the reason is Iam an engineer and i have interest in making a career in IT and the course which Iam planning to do in INFORMATION SYSTEMS BUSINESS ANALYST which is a specialized course for business analyst,I just wanted to know why i would have to wait for 6-12 months for the course?because if i come there in apr 2009 cant i enroll myself for FALL 2009 course?Regarding the fees I found out that the FEES for PR is less compared to international students. For eg for the course iam telling its around $8k and also i heard PR students are eligible for OSAP(Ontario student assistance program)..Wont I be able to mange my expenses and studies doing a part time job over there?I have experience in CALL CENTRES working as Technical support executive(DELL servicing NORTH AMERICA) and iam good at computer hardware and in software also i know C++ ORACLE etc,Will this be able to get me a job in technical call centre and also do the course side by side so that 1-2 yrs down the line i can expect a better picture to happen? Can you all help me out with this??TK wat wud be ur advice on this?I understand the other factors but i got feared with the fact that $ 1800k would be my 9 month savings????wud it be so less???lets say even after 5 yrs cant i expect my situation to improve?

Vinoth,
I can see from your reply that you are not into Hardcore IT (Software) and hence you chance of getting a good job is very less (IMO). Lot of outbound call centre jobs are vailable here and the wages are like $10-12 an hour. In bound is a bit harder to get with the current recession senario. Technical call centre jobs require canadian experience / reco / networking / good soft skills etc...
What I meant by the wait to get into a course (9-12 months) is that they admit you for the course only 2 times a year . Lot of paper work (like IELTS, Certification of documents etc..) have to be done. You just canot decide to do a course (in Humber) and then expect to start it next week. There are various processes involved and this may include admission, entrance exam etc..
Also I am sure that you know that you have to pay back the loan that you take for studying. Also if it is a full time course, you will hardly get a few hours off every day (as you also have to work on assignments etc...) + you need your own free time. Funding can be a problem if you donot work full time at the following costs apply :

1 bed apartment (basement) $ 750 +
Bus Ticket $2.50 one way
Food : atleast $ 300 a month (Single person)
Phone $50 a month
Internet connection $35 a month
TV $30 a month

So what I would advise you is to do your math. Check the Charcha (by using the search option) for past posts on education. Check if your course can get you a good job in the market. Check if you can earn and save when studying. A lot of these colleges (not universities) depend upon new immigrants to enroll in the courses to keep the college alive and hence some / many courses are redundant and not based on the true need. I know a very talented person who did his business analyst course from ryerson for 2 years (part time) while working full time in a call centre (without taking the OSAP loan) and he still has not landed upon a BA job and is so poor that he canot even sponser his wife to come to Canada and he earns around $16 a hour at the TD Call centre and he is bilingual.

Please do your research and donot flood the Charcha with the same postings in many threads. Put your query under the most appropriate thread and only make a new thread if you donot find your query already anwered in another thread in the Charcha (USe search option to browse through the Charcha)..

Hope this helps

Peace

You are single and if you are open to sharing an apartment with somone or renting a room instead of whole apartment, you can lower that cost.

Getting a car would increase your mobility and flexibility, chances of getting a job, and reduce your exposure to harsh weather but your spending on insurance, maintenance and gas will also reduce your potential savings.
