Hello CDs,
Finally I am about to write my citizenship test in first week of jan. And we will be travelling to mexico in the second week. Now my question is will they keep my PR card or any other document with them soon after my test ? My husband doesnt remember what happened when he took the test.
Thank you for the replies.

Shriya.

I don't think they take PR card after test. But, certainly at the time of citizenship oath ceremony they will keep PR card with them.
Take care in some cases people get oath with in couple of weeks after test so pack up your mexico visit within time or keep checking your online status from there.

PR card need to be surrendered when they call for oath ceremony. Normally Oath Ceremony date info arrives in mail. First write a test, successfully pass it, they will give you proximate time for Oath Ceremony. If the given time is intercepts your Maxico trip then next day give CIC a call, fax or write a letter to inform that you have passsed test and requesting OATH dates should be given after so and so date due to Maxico trip. (I guess it will take more than 6-8 weeks after test)
