Hi
I came in Feb 2012 on work permit (as postdoctoral research fellow).
I am currently working in University of Ottawa.
I wish to know how much time I need to spend in Ottawa to get the PR?
What is the procedure for the same?
What kind of documents I should have with me for application of PR
Provide your valuable suggestions that can be helpful in collecting the documents from my this employment.
Please provide some information

Hi everybody,
I have came to know that most of postdoc application under 4011 NOC code were rejected due to mismatching of duties.
Does anyone has any idea about this?
I landed on postdoc work permit. is it possible for me to apply under 2112 NOC category for chemist?
Under 2112 category I can match most of the duties, seems to be more suitable to my job offer letter.
But I am confused, is it a good idea to apply under 2112 category instead of 4011?

Have you completed your Research Work? Did you have to submit any Papers after your work.? Was it accepted? Are they published now?
Continue your work and renew your Work Permit if you have to. See the procedures.
If your Work Permit is for a specific NOC Number or coincides with one and your RA/TA that you are doing is consistant with the NOC # , then you apply after the required period of work at that location.
Now to the best part, if you can continue there working, getting the PAY that it calls for that JOB that you are doing, then the work that you are doing will coincide with that NOC and get your PR also while you are at it.
{You cannot be on an ISSUED work permit doing something else there}
Once you get your PR, you are scot free do anything you want. Please check the websites and make sure that you can apply while on a work permit, prior to its completion. (Is it a Three year's WP.) Currently, they call for ONE years work experience at that location.
There are so many conditions and also the details that I have to know before I can comment upon any other queries that you pose prior to giving you the correct answers. It is a case study and the facts have to be at hand before I can comment. So, you are at your own mercy.
