Hello Namskar to all desis in Canada.
I am one of the becoming Canadian desi out of desh my name is Ragav an Engineer presently working in Bangalore have experience in Software and Industrial management skills and have applied for some universities like “uni of Dalhousy Nova Scotia, uni of Victorya BC, MaMaster uni Ontaria, Concordia uni Quebec and lastly PG Course in wireless technology in GeorgeBrown College Toranto.
I am expecting the admission in any one of this university and college, my entry would be in May or Sep 2005.
The course I have applied is for Masters in electrical & computer Engineering
The course is mainly on satellite communication, remotes sensing, robotic and photonics.
I am not money oriented yeah I am worried of money which I have to spend out there, so I choose Canada instead of USA for higher studies.
I would be lucky if I get a job in my field of study if not I am lucky that I can have the contacts do business there, any side of the coin is good for me
So this is all my plans now I would like to ask you some question related to my studies and after job.
1) Are the Universities mentioned above and the provision are worth for studies and for job to get experience.
2) When I receive the admission letter do I have to go rushing to pay the admission, or should I rush to VISA office.
3) What all the crap things the VISA people ask at the Visa counter, is it again the Indian luck day and time(Bad and Good time) that we would encounter to face a kind and humorous soul at the VISA counter.
4) How the scenario of getting job in software related or on communication technology in Canada.
5) How to get cheap and best living accommodation either shared or single in the range of 250 to 400 CD$ per month may or may not be food included.
6) Interesting facts about simple leaving expenses in Canada and I won’t go for films much, rather I would prefer to be with friends, I love to volunteer.
7) And finally can any of our desi here who can give some tips to face and answer the VISA Dummy god (till VISA is approved and stamped)who ask question to us.
