Hello Everyone,
I am going to attend my interview with the Canadian Consulate General, Buffalo and want to stay in a motel or hotel or something else near the Canadian embassy. It should be safe and clean place.
If any one has good experience about staying at any place somewhere there, please share your experience. And can I book that motel or hotel or whatever online and can get confirmation by this Friday which helps me to prove my stay at the border.
Thanx everyone for their time.
The Canadian Consulate is in downtown Buffalo, and there are several hotels there.
If you have a car, your options are much better in finding a good and reasonably priced place to stay.
Other than downtown Buffalo, you can consider the following areas - Buffalo Airport hotels, and Amherst (Niagara Falls Blvd. area)
It is about a 15 - 20 minute drive from airport hotels to downtown buffalo and about 15 - 20 minutes from Amherst to downtown (non rush-hours).
Whenever I have been to Buffalo, I have usually stayed at the Holiday Inn on Niagara Falls Blvd.
It is a fairly decent hotel.
As for prices - it depends on what is going on in Buffalo during that week.
At one time, there was some stupid convention going on and all hotels were very expensive.
I think even Super 8 motel was going at over $50/night
I paid $65 at the Holiday Inn.
At most other times, I have paid between $35 - $40 in that area.
Yes, you should book online - that way you will get instant confirmation and can print out the page as proof of your stay.
Hope this helps.
