I hope there weren't any members of 'canadiandesi.com' traveling in that aircraft. I read that almost all the personal belongings of passengers (cabin bags) were gutted.
It was indeed a miraculous escape and all souls onboard are now safe. However, I wonder how the immigration handles such a situation when important papers are lost...

And, thanks to Azazf and Thinkingone for pointing out the flaw in my statement. I guess I didn’t realize the implications at that time. It was unintentional.
I’ve edited my original post and now it should be ‘politically’ correct. ;)

I dont think it was insensitive of you .....was just that you were too worried about our folks.

The president of air france came down to toronto yesterday and said he will compensate for any physical damages to luggage and people. Thats a start i think.
