This is common misperception. Canadians spread this propoganda to make themselves feel better about their country and living in poverty due to high taxes when they could be using that extra 10-15% income to spend more on luxury goods like Americans!
I lived in 4 states in USA and crime rate is definitely lower than Toronto.. !
Plus comparing rates in inner city USA to Canada is like apples to oranges.!
