Unfree software implementing DRM technology is simply a prison in which users can be put to deprive them of the rights that the law would otherwise allow them...

DRM is there to stop people from STEALING someone’s work. It does not bother those that use digital media in the way it is supposed to be used. Why should you have the right to copy media?
The report exaggerates the intrusion of DRM on the average user. And in the end, no one is forcing you to buy anything from anybody. If you do not agree with the policy outlined, go somewhere else. SIMPLE!

At home, if you have network of computers, you will end up buying so many licenses for the digital media(Audio and Video)
Do you buy as many copies of the DVDs as you have number of dvd players at home?
Is is a kind of hardware monoply, as Microsoft used to have software monoply for years. You buy a new computer and pay for Windows OS even if you have to use Linux on it.
