Chak de India-Ok. Saw it last week.
The real cool one is "The Bourne Ultimatum". Reminiscent of old James Bond flicks, OSS flicks and "That man from Istanbul"- but with modern gadgets. No really shoot 'em up Arnie style material.
Action much more mature and clean.
That Ludlum sure knows his stuff. And the guys who decided to take the books to the screen have done an excellent job.
Can't wait for "The Parsifal Mosaic".
Apologies in order for hijacking your thread.
Chake de India is SRKs finest performance after Mohan Bharghav. It is a little melodramatic in the beginning though...I mean who would call somebody a traitor just for missing a goal and it is a bit toooooo much to drive someone out of ones ancestral house but I guess its good for the lachrymal glands.
But gripping nonetheless and it was high time somebody gave cricket the shaft and focussed attention on other sports. But this film goes a step further and has a message on womens rights and national unity....thankfully the director is skillful enough to stop at preaching.....
It is a must watch for every cricket fan...and every SRK fan...and every hockey fan....and every...oh what the hell you get the point.
Bourne Ultimatum is the ultimate action flick....enough to turn your hair grey in 2 hours..one of the best edge of the seat thrillers to hit the screen in recent history,,,,and the background music is stupendous and adds to the drama......if the Academy didn't favour the classes over the masses I would say that this movie would be nominated for an Oscar......
On the same note of films...
stay far away from the new Mr. Bean movie. Ouch. I love his show but this movie was not very good.

Chak-de is a good movie. Saw it today.
Not only SRK is good but even the girls (team members) played their parts very well. Overall a nicely conceived, made and presented movie. Hope, one day all Indians carry the spirit of unity.

There is no pleasure in having nothing to do; The fun is in having lots to do and not doing it.
Same old patriotic BS. And SRK's overacting has not abated one bit. I hope he smokes himself to death soon and spares us from his s-s-s-s-illy "acting".
All those noname hockey players' acting was WAY better than SRK's...
On the flip side, hockey is the national sport of India and I was happy to see it get some attention...
I watched this movie for Hockey, and needless to say it didn't dissappoint me at all. I liked the movie. Also, liked the fact that it didn't stuck in any 'dil vil pyar vyar', and right away came to the point. I am not at all a Shahrukh fan, but honestly he looked much restrained and calmed in this movie. He acted pretty differently than the movies he has so far worked in.
So, a good movie at the end of the day. I have always been a supporter of Hockey and wonder when would they uplift this game, pour more money and get the right ingredients of money, spirit, and infrastructure. I am also a cricket fan, but time and again sick and tired of all the money and publicity it gets and not the other games.
Guess, first we need to throw away the politicians out of any games' administration and build a professional hierarchy - just like other countries.
Coming back to the movie. It was indeed a relief to watch a good movie without any usual songs/dance, love, and/or a useless comedy. Loved the entire cast, especially the 'Haryanvi' and 'Punjabi' accented girls
Go for it!
