Any CDs who are in the TM clubs? IMO, one of the way of improving soft skills is to join a TM club. It provides an opportunity to give variety of speeches (unlike our netas), talk off the hook (impromptu speeches) and chairing meetings. You get valuable and honest feedback from others. I have learnt a lot. Before I joined a TM club, I thought I could give a good speech. Well, I was so wrong. Others pointed out my unwanted / bad mannerisms that I had never observed. Many TM clubs allow guests for free for 2-3 meetings. Try it out.

I have been a member of "Diamonds in the Rough" Toastmaster's club for more than 2 yrs now. It is really good and helps improve confidence for public speaking
