India Inc. needs to control the attrition rates.
I am getting frustrated at work. My work deals with consultants from CEO level to Draftsman level. I make calls / extract on a daily basis. Just when I am of the opinion that I am bonding well with a person professionally, the next day he quits and I am dealing with a totally new person. I have to start my bonding process all over again. Hope CD’s are aware that this is delaying the project big time. Also there is no accountability and the management is scared to demand it.
As a CD who worked in Canada for 9 years seeing the same person almost every day of the year, this is a new experience.
I am seeing that generally a person stays not more than 3 – 6 months in a job. And this is not at the lower or mid level. Even CEO’s quit and join some other companies. It is very frustrating.
I am sure that this is due to the tremendous job and salary opportunities in India (atleast for the non IT people).
In essence, India Inc. needs the double dip recession of USA to keep its employees in order.
Peace

Yeah right, 30 years back.
We're working on fixing the situation by raising the real estate in Metros, playing with all the essential commodities and more than all infusing the lifestyle... and more importantly making credit card easily available to all...

A Delhite in Toronto
Another case happened today.
A goof ball from our office fired the major 2 people of our company's IT department without getting our server's / admin's password. Now we are stuck as the 2 fired guys are not responding to our phone calls.
This is so standard of a country where the economy is booming and clients / customers demand more and more and where the human resources in an organisation are stretched.
And I thought that my company was stable and that only our consultants were facing problems.
