I am posting this message for my friend.

Her situation is quite complected because she is a single mother with one child. Her ex owns an house. He bought it few years before their marriage, which is valued around 420,000+ and it has around 170,000 to pay on mortgage. He has moved out and living with his parents however still pays the mortgage.

He wants to transfer the house to her name including the mortgage, but she doesnt have any proof of income, even though she works part time.

She gets child benefit and her parents have moved in with her including one of her brother since their separation.

She can easily afford the mortgage of 170,000 but wonders whether a bank will give her a mortgage with no proof of income? I suggested that her brother co-sign, but her ex told her that it is out of of the question. They both dont want to get a divorce.

how can she go about and get a mortgage?

thanks

If she visit a bank the answer would be NO. If she visits a desi mtg consultant the answer would be yes. One of my known got mtg of $200000 even when he was not working in Canada.

Do not worry much about it.

Just approach any desi mortigage consultant with good referance ( your can find in our forum) ... I am sure they can give proper advice / direction and get the things done.
