I can travel for you (as I am a Canadian citizen with a valid passport) and I am willing to help your MIL.

TK: Sometimes, I wonder if you make these kinds of meaningless offers to really help people or just to increase your quota of the posts for the day.
1) If i(or the OP) had extra funds to spare, i would happily accompany my loved one all the way to India, spend time with relatives, have a pani-puri at my favorite haunt and take the next flight to Toronto. Why in heaven's name would i buy tickets for a complete stranger to do the same?
2) The only reason, somebody would buy free tickets for a stranger would be if you were willing to act as their drug mule. Do you want to give it a try?

If you give special instructions to the airline and have meal specified correctly the airlines will usually handle these situations well
