Hello Everybody,
I would like to know how is the business of real estate / house construction / property development in Canada? Of course I will be ready to do some investment initially for the purchase of land and for construction and development etc. I will also have my business running in India which is on auto-mode (i.e. I will not wind-up my business in India until I am confident of the business opportunities in Canada).
I would prefer if someone can guide me about this business in Vancouver / Burnaby / Surrey. Mine is the case that I have got PR for my entire family and now I am thinking of moving there, although I have a good income here in India but the quality of life is not good because of poor infrastructure, pollution, corruption, too much of bureaucracy and red-tapism, no accountability of the govt. departments etc.

I would strongly suggest you to land first , familiarize yourself with areas , city bylaws , fee structure and than jump into any venture . So far RE is booming atleast in GTA and most people have been able to stay ahead in the game .
Starting a business without valid driving licence and car may not work . Mind it that getting a DL here is not as ez as in our homeland .
