Mr Sharma,
Were the technical exams waived because of the ERC Interview or because of them recognizing your undergraduate degree?
Cheers

ERC stands for Experience Review Committee.
Normally after filing an application with the PEO it takes about 6-8 months to get an interview with the ERC, provided the documents are cleared by Academic Review Committee.
The ERC has a member from PEO, one member from academic background and one member from consulting engineers background. In all, there are three experts and one co-ordinator, who takes the minutes of the interview.
The PEO member is there to oversee the process and the experts from the academic and consulting background lead the interview. In the interview, everything is focussed on your resume and the comprehensive work experience submitted by you to the PEO before your interview. At this time, i have heard that it takes about 45 minutes for one interview, however in my case, it went far beyond that. The experts wants to make sure that you know the basic engineering skills and the application of engineering theory to practical aspects. They also assess your communication skills to make sure that you can communicate well with your clients and other stakeholders in your professional career.
