Hi,
I am new to Canada and this would be my first Karwachauth here. Does anyone know of temples/places where they do the punjabi style Karwachauth puja?
I am located in Mississauga.

I am also new to Canada. Where in India are you from? I am sure they will have pooja somewhere or we can make a group and do it in someone's home. I have the cassette for pooja.

It should be in October. I don't know the exact date. The temple in Brampton on Brar street also have the puja. It is called Hindu Samaj temple.

The big question?

Karva chauth is this Sunday October 28th. If any of you are looking for partner to go with I am available. My favourite place to go is the mandir in Oakville ( the same place which is mentioned above) because the Panditji there does the puja so purely. I have been going there for 4 years now so if any of you like to know where it is you can email or pm me.

Nearly every mandir celebrate this day so if there is a mandir near you i am sure they will have puja for karvachauth as well.

Karvachauth in India is on Monday (28th) but if Mandirs here in Canada and elsewhere are celebrating it on Sunday (don't know). May be its convenient for working ladies and their families (actually it'll be convenient in India too)but check from India first. It is Monday they are getting ready for!
