It won't make the PR process faster.

It will give you information like when your file will be reviewed next, whether background check, security check and medicals are over etc along with the comments of the reviewing officer.

If u have an interview, it will give u the reason for interview.

do we need to apply for this to CIC again or what?

becuse i am processing my application through a consultant.

I hope he should do this for me.
