Hi,
I recently received my final approval and will be coming to Canada in January. I am trying to figure out if the location you file for the PR card has any affect on the processing time. It seems most immigrants go to Toronto and I am trying to determine if that causes any back log. The PR card processing center I believe is in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
Any insight or feedback will be greatly appreciated. Next week I am going to Buffalo to get my visa and I believe I need to declare what city I plan to land in.
I also read on some other board that flying into Canada is a better option than taking a train. Any ideas?
Thank you in advance for your help.
muffi.
As a new landed immigrant, your PR card will be mailed to the address you provide upon landing. If you don't have a reliable address, you have 180 days [from date of landing] to provide one.
