Hi 7wonder,
I am in the same boat as you are. Difference is I have to file my wife's visa and you have already did.
Can you please share your experience to file our wife's visa from India if I am a student here.
How much bank balance we have to show, what visa she can file, what documents are needed from here, and so on.
I request you to share your experience with regards to your wife's visa paperwork.
Thanx.
Visa type--visitor visa
balance --minimum 40,000$ for both expenses
you need college letter, bank balance, marriage certi, photos,,your declaration from here and your sponsor's declaration of support to her and recommedation letter from college.
thats all i guess and she can apply through 6 visa center in india if she is in gujarat she can go to ahmedabad.Address for visa center are give on cic.gc site.
thats all.thanks and good luck

Hi 7wonders,
Thanx for your reply.
Do you mind to tell me is this $40,000 bank balance do I have to show in Canada myself only? Or does it include the amount shown by my parents in India as well?
How much amount individually do I have to show in Canada? And if the same amount I show partially in Canada and partially in my name in India, does it work in that way?
Secondly, the spouse declaration of support, do I have to notarized here in Canada or just sign it and send to me.
Moreover, do you mind to give me the format of spouse declaration of support. It would be really helpful to me.
Thanx once again and I look forward for your reply.

well i read from immigration site that you need 10,000 each for you and your wife for study per year and atleast 700$ each for living expenses per year so it comes 20,000 +17,000=37,000 $ per year expenses.
so it can be show in your or your sponsor's account in liquid(means cash)

yes,it can work only they need enough fund weather it is in india or canada.
