thanks, morning rain.
With your experience, you can definitely guide people. New people might find it very useful. For people who already have been here & gone thro' frustrating times, it is difficult for them & they try to convey their reality.
Both views are equally important. If ten immigrants fail to find a job in their field & one is successful, it is still a success.
I guess human beings are not satisfied with what we have.

Let's make India a better place !
Hello CD,
First of all thank for reading my Article and rating me Good.
Yes, it's true that to find good job is not easy task in Canada, but it's not impossible. If person on student visa can study and get canadian licensed in pharmacy and can get $45/hr then why not Immigrant? If person who has two children and wife still studying and passed succesfully and become Veterianarian then why not others??
Problems are every where. If you talking about india then its worst to get job some time than here.To get job you need to have good contacts or money. My father wanted to transfer his job to his home town but he couldnt because he didnt wanted to pay money for that.I didnt get admission in good school becasue i am from higher caste.
If you see canada there politics or corruption is not everywhere from Peon to Officer like India.I am not against India but India forced me to move here.
I can not say on behalf of every Immigrant but i liked Canadian Policy,Environment for me and my family.
That's all
Again thanks.

Babail,
People from other countries definitely know how to make resumes. The concept of Canadian resume is more for people who don't know English properly or are not comfortable with making resumes. The same people are hired by many multi-national companies in different countries but it seems that Canada is way above all. If the system in Canada changes, it will be good for Canada. Having said that, I do see people who are doing well in Canada inspite of the system.
A good resume alone is however not a substitute for skills, experience & attitude. I had a guy whom I had recruited due to excellent resume & good soft skills but he turned out to be one of the laziest guys I have ever seen.
I had got my resume appraised by various agencies here & yet couldn't get a proper job. I guess something was seriously wrong with me !!!

7 Wonders,
I really admire your post but i canot belive that you make $45 an hour.
Even my boss who pays me and employs 11 people does not earn $45 an hour.
If you could clarify what is your profession , maybe that would make sense.
Does the pharmacist from walmart earn $45 an hour. I donot think so. Maybe $15 an hour max. and he is a gora.
Let me give you 2 examples i know . These are immigrants (desi).
1. M.E (chemical engr.). Worked in MR. lube and private insurance. Did a pahrmacy course by taking OSAP loan. Earns $13 an hour. He is selling his car and sending his wife and daughter to India.
2. M.Sc. chemistry. worked in Glaxo as labourer for $11 an hour. befriended the supervisor who told him and recommended a job as Chemist. got $18 an hour on contract. After 3 years made permanent. I donot know his present salary.
So i really doubt the pay scale.
If it pays $45 an hour, please tell me what course it is , i will leave my $12.5 job and study that course.

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
I think there is a difference in the pharmacist that 7wonders is talking about and the one TK is talking about:
A Pharmacist in Canada is one who has taken a University degree in Pharmacy - usuallly 5 years in length which requires extensive rotation time in the hospital. They can make very good salaries - around $70k/yr.
A Pharmacy assistant (one who requires a certificate or diploma of short duration) will make closer to what you all estimate.
