Think Positive-2
By:

Hi readers.

First of all thanks for reading my articles and rate my article.

I am again here to write on same topic but today also one of our reader submit article about labour job and all

Is that only thing you have to do here? You don’t have any other option than labour? If you are educated like doctor, engineer etc, why don’t you qualify or equivalent exams here? why are you afraid of these exams? Govt here even support for OCAP and UI as all desi know very well and as I said earlier if you are doctor from canada, Indian govt won't allowed you do practice as doctor there you have to clear exam there too and there no OCAP or UI for you. Then why you expect from here, I agree that here labour job and all, but have you found any discrimination for work? even manager and owner do mob and all then what’s new. So think positive.

And canada is good country for educated no dought but you have to qualify. Jow much you were getting in india? 5000Rs salary for teachers? 4000Rs for engineers? If you are experienced than you can get 10000Rs. Thats it? And here how much you are getting? What is future there for your children? Violence? Polution? I am not against india. I love my country my place. But I am against those who live in canada who want to live all life but they dont like canadian life? why so? If you dont like then why you are still here? why no one wants to go back india? Thats it if you like my article just rate me. And if you have any question do not hesitate email me at

I didnt plan to post again...but I wanted to thank you for your feedback.
Its good that you felt you could write what you have experienced and what you feel is the best solution for you, in the end. Its not that I dont have negative thoughts and feelings or that I dont ever feel like giving up (because I have my despairs just like everyone else)..but I feel in the end..there is a purpose for everybody and a place in the world for everybody. Its easier to be negative and stay there.. its really hard to find the silver lining (cliched but I think its true)..

Good luck in the future..

thanks, morning rain.

With your experience, you can definitely guide people. New people might find it very useful. For people who already have been here & gone thro' frustrating times, it is difficult for them & they try to convey their reality.

Both views are equally important. If ten immigrants fail to find a job in their field & one is successful, it is still a success.

I guess human beings are not satisfied with what we have.

Rgds.

Hello CD,
First of all thank for reading my Article and rating me Good.
Yes, it's true that to find good job is not easy task in Canada, but it's not impossible. If person on student visa can study and get canadian licensed in pharmacy and can get $45/hr then why not Immigrant? If person who has two children and wife still studying and passed succesfully and become Veterianarian then why not others??
Problems are every where. If you talking about india then its worst to get job some time than here.To get job you need to have good contacts or money. My father wanted to transfer his job to his home town but he couldnt because he didnt wanted to pay money for that.I didnt get admission in good school becasue i am from higher caste.
If you see canada there politics or corruption is not everywhere from Peon to Officer like India.I am not against India but India forced me to move here.
I can not say on behalf of every Immigrant but i liked Canadian Policy,Environment for me and my family.
That's all
Again thanks.

I don't quite understand what you meant. U talk about a person studying here and getting their license here and then making $45/hr and then you say why a person coming from somewhere else not do that. Well personally I don't think you understand the concept of Canadian experience and Canadian education. that's what every single person keeps on writing about and then you ask the same thing.

If u thk there is no corruption out here, sorry to say ur mistaken. The only difference is that in India we don't mind saying out the problems, here we just hide them. Just as an eg. ppl who come from India talk about the problems about rush in trains and buses. After coming here never hear them say anything. Why??? Ever got into a bus or train during rush hour. Gosh it's so horrible. The only thing is no pushing. But to be in a bus or train with no ventilation to support the crowd, it stinks and makes u sweat horrible. Ppl. don't want to talk about if u miss ur bus by 2 minutes then u have to wait for the next one for 30 minutes to 1 hr. No autos etc to help u out there, specially when u have stand in the rain in B.C or snow in winters in other provinces for 30 minutes + as there is no bus shelter.
Oh yes didn't miss the bus because of my fault as the first bus I was in got delayed due to traffic. Why does it take to make a bridge here in 10yrs and in India in 5 yrs. Just corruption to fill in the pockets of the so called administrators to decide.
Didn't u read the newspaper about immigration scandals and blah blah.

People from other countries definitely know how to make resumes. The concept of Canadian resume is more for people who don't know English properly or are not comfortable with making resumes. The same people are hired by many multi-national companies in different countries but it seems that Canada is way above all. If the system in Canada changes, it will be good for Canada. Having said that, I do see people who are doing well in Canada inspite of the system.

A good resume alone is however not a substitute for skills, experience & attitude. I had a guy whom I had recruited due to excellent resume & good soft skills but he turned out to be one of the laziest guys I have ever seen.

I had got my resume appraised by various agencies here & yet couldn't get a proper job. I guess something was seriously wrong with me !!!:D

I didn't say that they are not doing good. Yes after yrs. many managed to get out by studying etc. some got it instantly etc. I am only talking about the senseless problem still a majority are facing on coming here. Why do ppl. not want it to be shown to the world. Why let ppl. just come here ignorantly and this saga continues. If a person is aware of what can happen, he/she makes a proper choice of what they should do and then can blame only themselves.
This site is about bringing forward our experiences etc, so if they have been negative what is wrong about it. Arent' ppl. living here negative about other countries and how they live. Why???? Let's not be hypocrites.
7wonders is negative about India and that's why he left. He's happy and fine talking and writing about that, but doesn't want to hear or read or write anything negative about Canada.
Also 7wonders just to inform you. Kids in B.C cannot get admission in University because more than 40% quota is for foreign students who pay a high big ransom money to come to Canada. So what do u call that. Nice management skills

7 Wonders,
I really admire your post but i canot belive that you make $45 an hour.
Even my boss who pays me and employs 11 people does not earn $45 an hour.
If you could clarify what is your profession , maybe that would make sense.
Does the pharmacist from walmart earn $45 an hour. I donot think so. Maybe $15 an hour max. and he is a gora.
Let me give you 2 examples i know . These are immigrants (desi).
1. M.E (chemical engr.). Worked in MR. lube and private insurance. Did a pahrmacy course by taking OSAP loan. Earns $13 an hour. He is selling his car and sending his wife and daughter to India.
2. M.Sc. chemistry. worked in Glaxo as labourer for $11 an hour. befriended the supervisor who told him and recommended a job as Chemist. got $18 an hour on contract. After 3 years made permanent. I donot know his present salary.
So i really doubt the pay scale.
If it pays $45 an hour, please tell me what course it is , i will leave my $12.5 job and study that course.
TK

I think there is a difference in the pharmacist that 7wonders is talking about and the one TK is talking about:

A Pharmacist in Canada is one who has taken a University degree in Pharmacy - usuallly 5 years in length which requires extensive rotation time in the hospital. They can make very good salaries - around $70k/yr.

A Pharmacy assistant (one who requires a certificate or diploma of short duration) will make closer to what you all estimate.
