I often noticed people saying that businesses are not good in Canada, as compare to USA.

I am not sure, but I have seen many desis owning small businesses like - convenience stores, dollar stores, grocery stores, subs, etc. May be Patels are not so strong in Motel business here.

What is good business in Canada? I mean small business that can be handled by couple?

Any Ideas? Kathiawadi bhaiya lagata hai aap koi bada desi mall khol rahe ho - jara humko guide karo!!

surtibhai, how about indian fast food, from pavbhaji to dosa..u get all this just by Drive Thru...that would just be perfect...if u know know surti cooks around...

haa jee...ideas are there...man hoi to malave javaay...so one day, u never know...if u see a kathiawad fast food franchise

Kathiawadibhai,

Tamaro idea to bahu saras che. Pan thodu difficult che, Indian food drive-thourgh mathi aapvanu. Karanke banavata time lage ane gadi ma mess thai jay.

But I also think its doable. However the food would have to be packaged differently and somehow pre-prepared. For example, instead of a horizontal masala dosa, maybe you can make a vertical dosa like a Taco Bell burrito. I'm sure that with the right mix of marketing and ingenuity, it would take off.

And speaking of Pau Bhaji, how come there are no good Gujju restaurants in the whole of Toronto or GTA? Tons of pubjabi places but South Indian and gujju places are scarce, and the ones that are there aren't that good or authentic.

Ame to saari pau-bhaji (yum yum) ane saras dosa/sambar khava tarsi gaya che....

I had one idea earlier. To start a chain food store 'Rotlo' to compete with 'Tako' or 'Pizza'. What it would offer?

A Rotlo with lot variations of topping!

But my wife threw this Idea to garbage...
