Shouldn't, or couldn't it be 'delighted' instead of deleted!!!?

The word Shorry reminds of a hilarious incident during my college days. Ours was basically a Hindi medium college, in which a special section was created for English medium students. Except for 2-3 lecturers in the college, none of them had ever taught in English medium and some just could not speak good English (by the way, I come from Jaipur, a city in Rajasthan). And though or college was supposedly a co-ed, we did not have a single girl student in the BCom classes (we had a handful in MCom)

During one of the lectures, being given by a typical Rajasthani lecturer, who looked more like a Panditji with his choti and short hair than a lecturer, made some mistake and immediately said 'chori' (sorry).

One of the naughtiest amongst us got up and said 'chori........sir kahan hai chori...?'

The lecturer, in his typical cute way of being helpless replied 'are bhaisahab, main to pichle pandra saal se dhoondh raha hoon........kahin mili hi nahi koi chori'

We never got back to studies in that period - though he was a strict lecturer from studies point of view!

Chandresh

P.S. Now that can be termed as ethnic one too - the way rajasthanis speak inglis.

once a bihari teacher called a group of three guys by saying ..."both of you three, pileez come here'

and once while making a point in a discussion on a contentious topic he dropped this line ..." how does monkey know the tashte of ginger"!!?

...that group listening to him was baffled ....then he explained it was english translation of hindi muhawra "bandar kya jaane adrak ka swad"!!
