As the Western economies continue to remain in deep freeze, more and more foreigners, mostly from the US and Europe are looking at India for jobs, a trend that has seen up to 20 per cent spurt this year, according to head-hunters.
"While CXOs are generally offered around USD 2,50,000 per annum, mid-manager level employees get USD 80,000-1,25,000 per annum," he said.

Hope the companies pay the same salary to Indian mid-level managers with foreign experience.
Salaries depend upon whether it is an expat or resident opportunity. If it is expat, the home salary unit is retained and the assignment is for a specified number of years. Otherwise it will be what comparable counterparts in India make. So, possessing foreign experience is not necessarily the dominant factor. What matters is what has been negotiated by the 2 parties for that position.

Those are very very specialised jobs where foreigners are required. thats why those are paid in premium, equivalent to foreign salaries in indian currency. Once those skills are learnt by Indians, profiles are filled in locally for cost reasons. This been happening for almost a decade now though it is increased by a proportion.
Call Center trainers, merger & acquisition cases where an Indian company acquires a foreign company or vice versa, business process outsourcing , specialised banking services such as insurance model from west, new retailers opening shops in India, foreign language experts, research & development and high end software development etc are the areas where experts will be required for limited period of time. Thus influx of foreigners and their acceptance in India.
Question is - is India open for immigration ?
