I will file my taxes for 2005. Please advise how would I file my taxes going forward, once I start working in Pakistan - year 2006.

What do I do regarding the Child Tax benifit which I am rec?

What do I do with my driving lic, OHIP card etc?

I have condo which I will give the power of attorney to sell this year.

We are not aware what the future hold's put are intentions are to stay in Pak.

Your advise would be appreciated.

Best Regards

Well, you have to inform HRDC, Canada Revenue Agency that you are leaving & that will take care of the child benefit being stopped.

Pay a visit to HRDC, call up CRA & they should be the best people to give you a clear answer. Speak to the registry for your driving license & to the health care dept.

Are you going back since you have a better opportunity or simply tired of Canada?

Rgds.

He seems to be from Pakistan.

Nothing wrong in going back. He could have his own reasons. If he is not liking it here, does not have a good job here, has responsibilities back home then no harm in going back.

I know of people in USA who have gone back to India inspite of having a good job. Some don't like the social structure here.

Rgds.

Going back to India is not the same as going back to Pakistan..!
Ppl who go back to India from USA are tired due to waiting for GC etc.. I know very few who go back after getting citizenship.. basically whatever reason.. I am just shocked someone would choose pakistan over Canada.. it makes me sad ..

Nothing to feel sad about. People choose to live in a country based on their personal preference. I have seen many people in US who got GC and/or US Citizenship go back to India due to various reasons. Some go for better position back home and some go because they do not want their children to grow up in a western culture.

Zcool,

This is the second time I'm warning you about your Pakistan bashing. I see you've found a way to do this in almost every thread you've posted, even if its completely irrelevant to the original subject of the thread.

You have a personal problem with Pakistan or Pakistanis? Take it somewhere else! The last thing I want on this site is India-Pak bashing, you can find that at dozens of other sites if you want.

I will not warn you again, you will be banned from this site if this happens again.

Are you there?
