Let me summarize everything in the following words:

A)Work
I have worked as a janitor, security guard and my latest job " Home Estimator". I started as $8.00/ hr and now I do more than $21.00/hr. In edmonton/ Alberta that's not bad.

b) Economic situation:
I came with couple bucks and now I have a brand new house (townhouse) and Brand new car (suzuki swift). Of course I took loans for both.

C) Family:
my wife and I now have two daughters.

D) Time:
All has happened in less than 4 years.

You may ask how I did it?

First: the Lord helped us.

Second: I never gave up in trying to work in my career (even thought I don't work as an civil engineer I work at least as a technologist and I like what I do).

Third: I researched as much as I could by myself and I did not follow losers advice.

fourth: Living in Edmonton/Alberta was important. Because I entered in a program for foreign trained engineers. At the end of the program (6 months) I was recognized as a Technologist from ASET (Alberta Society of Engineering Technologist) and I had Canadian studies from NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology).

The program is free (including tuition, books and living expenses) even though is available only in Edmonton and only accepts 1 of every 5 applicants.


I found my job 2 weeks before finishing the program as Estimator for a Custom Home Builder Company. My classmates were not that lucky but a year after all had jobs had found jobs in technical positions.
