My details are as follows:
Education: Bachelor of Engineering(WES certified)
Age: 37
Experience: 14 years
Express Entry Profile: YES
IELTS: CLB7
My Questions:
1)Can I find a job of any kind just to land in Canada?
2) What could be the hourly rate that I may get?
3) Which province should I try first?
Thanks.
If you are in IT, you have a chance. Any other profession it is a Big Fat NO.
Without SIN card, PR card, Canadian experience and education no one will hire you.
You can get odd jobs or survival jobs AFTER landing here, NOT from India. Labour jobs in factories/warehouses, retail jobs in stores, security guard job, fast food jobs in McDonald's, cab driver, cleaner/janitor jobs.
They will pay you between $ 15 to $ 20 per hour for the above jobs. Subtract Income Tax, Canada Pension Plan and Employment Insurance from it and your take home pay won't be much after all the cuts.
Which BE branch are you from?
If you are not a Software or Computer engineer then forget it. Stay in India.
You are in for a lot of pain and hurt otherwise after landing here.
I am a Metallurgical Engineer.
Thank you very much to both of you.
I have trying for the same since last two years.
I will STOP from today.
Thanks again.
Have a Great day.
Regards.
I think the first thing you need to learn is write in legible English. There is no structure to your word salad. Metallurgy is in shadows at this time. Not sure if it can make out of shadows anytime soon since US is beating down on Canada and Canadian industry is pathologically dependent on US demands and direction. Canadian economy is in standstill right now (growth rate is 0.1%) and is likely to slip into a drawn out recession. If you have serious levels of dedication to acquiring skills, your chances of success in India is quite good. But for this to happen, you need to have dignity and respect for India, or else you will forever be searching.

Hi,
I will definitely try to improve my English.
I really appreciate the way you have explained the facts and figure about Canadian Economy and job market related to Metallurgy.
In fact two years back one of my junior who is working at Canada told me that I should try for the PR visa through Express Entry.Since then I have been trying but my CRS score is too low. However, I keep on trying having the faith in my heart that one day success will be mine as it is the matter of getting a job offer( I know the LIMA rules) that can change my day.
Actually I am an ambitious person and I want to leave India due to many reasons. However it is a fact that I must consider the actual credentials that I have got whether it is my education or job experience and I have to admit the fact that I don't have enough skills to move to Canada. Someone told me that the chance of getting a job in Canada while being at India is 1%. So far I have been trying for that 1%.
But after joining this forum I am now confirmed that I was running for a mirage.
Everyone lives for his dream. I also have a dream - To become rich and to live in a developed and less populated country. I know all the hurdles that may come into my way to reach my goal but I don't want to quit the Race.
I want to be the Man I always wanted to be.
Please show me some light.
Thanks.
