Sumeet (110 v) is costing INR 4k here @ Hyderabad . We were using a Philips mixer in Bahrain for INR 1200/- and it was serving us fine .
Currently we have it with us in India and since it is 350 w I m wondering whether 2 bring this one along or to buy a new Sumeet while coming to Canada ? I have a 500w convertor.
Please advise .

Sumeet is good and there is a branch in Toronto too. But they are very expensive mixies.
Any other alternative brand, equally good but reasonable? If yes, where can we get that in Toronto? email : mohan24@gmail.com
Is there any North American mixie which is good enough for our desi stuff.
I brought a 5 litre cooker Hawkins from India but unfortunately turned out to be a defective one and so i cant take it back to from where i bought it though i love all hawkins and Prestige cookers. Quite hesitantly, I bought one from Canadian store and it has been working just fine for last 7months and it was for 30$.
That makes me think if there is some mixie here within same price range..I am going to give it a shot.
Try 'KitchenAid' from Canadian Tire.

Using convertor with a mixi would be a pretty bad idea.
