which mixer/blender works good . I had a magic bullet but it did not for long. looking for a good/durable one which can grind spices/regular stuff.
Sumeet's good.
Among local brands, go for something that has a powerful motor and a glass jar.
The durable stuff begind at about $39 and above.
Those $19.99 ones won't last you more than a year or so, esp. if used heavily.

It depends what pupose you are using for.

To grind spices, I use coffee grinder, it works really good.
For regular stuff- I use food processor, I have Cuisinart food processor using it since last 8 yrs, never got any problem. I had bought from US for $69 on sale. I think most of the store in Canada sell it for $99 on sale.
For Shakes, Lassi- You can use any blender.

Here, it will have to be cuisinart.. grinds everything including tough spices like cinnamon, down to a fine consistency. Cost me $99.
