Have you ever watched the afternoon movies on the french channel TV5.ca ?.
Whatever written on that article is cartoon in comparison what is being broadcast.
The print media is under regression due to the advent of the Internet. The same way people will move away from TV due to advent of YOU TUBE. The TV has to do something to cling onto viewership.
As long we keep it hidden it will be under the surface. The minute it is opened up nobody will bother to give a second glance.
Have you seen some of the programming on the channel Showcase. There are enough official pornography on this channel along with others on TLN and our own CityTV.
If you hide it, people will find a way. Open it up and it will be no longer an object of desire.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
