Warning against any "band-aid" solutions to the ills afflicting Indian cricket, Greg Chappell has taken parting shots at the country's cricket establishment, saying, "If you want to be like Australia, you can't run cricket like Zimbabwe."

BCCI is a shame to Indian cricket. Its run by politicians and businessman who have no clue abt the game. Elections held (in the name of democracy) are anything but fair. Money, liquor, etc flows big time just to grab power. If India were to enter last four, there was a plan to take 30 affiliated members of the BCCI to the carribean, all paid by BCCI. Chartered flight, cruise, living on a ship, etc. Rest is history.

Mr. Chappal is blowing steam ..... he knew he was going to be kicked out ..... so he resigned....what has been his contribution to the indian cricket ..... before he came we had defeated australia in australia, pakistan in pakistan and england in england ...... Sourav was in good shape & team was performing at its best ..... we finished at number 2 in the last world cup ..... then he joins .... wants to experiment with the indian team. He takes one of our best bowlers , Irfan Pathan and wants to make him an all rounder. Now before this experiment he was making some runs , it should have been left to that. After all we never tried to make Agarkar an all rounder even though he had a century to his name. So now Irfan is neither a good bowler nor is he a good batsman. Who is the loser? Indian team .....Mr. Chappal claims that senior players are responsible for this defeat. They dont allow junior players to get a chance. Tell me how many times did Suresh Raina, a Chappal protege, get a chance to perform. What aboout players like Uttapa and Dhoni. What has been their contribution.
The fact remains that we lost two matches to sides that played good cricket on that day ...... period..... we have lost the matches ...... the blame game has to stop.
Another thing that needs to be pointed out, it is the leadership of the team . Rahul Dravid is a fantastic batsman .......but a bad captain.... he does not have the leadership qualities like Ganguly. Even Sachin, though my favourite, can't make a good Captain. He also does not have that leadership quality.
I remeber reading some comments from Ian Chappel mentioning about death of Woolmer and Greg's desire not to continue with Indian team. Another spin that the brother is trying to put on Greg's failure. Around the time he said this, another Australian Dav Whatmore wanted to be coach for India.
So my advice to you , dont take Mr. Chappal too seriously, he has his own axe to grind.
