Spent a day some weeks back playing cricket and found it to be an enjoyable pastime.

Where can one buy cricket equipment in the GTA ?

Interested in some thing basic which can be used to spend some time in the park -- 4 wickets , ball & bat - is it advisable to use tennis or rubber ball on grass ?

You can find the bat and wickets at Indian grocery shops - I have seen at Asian Foods. For professional equipment, I have seen at a sports shop near Finch and Hwy 27.

We put a old runner (carpet) with upside down on ground as pitch and use tennis ball.

The runner carpet tip is great .... I guess tennis ball is great for recreational cricket ..

My knowledge of cricket says , you cannot play alone. You need people matching your interest , time and motivation. Plu your immediate family needs to be engaged during that time in their own interests.
Life is complicated now a days...

When there is a will u find way.....me and my son,,,only 2 of us play on concrete tennis court...in park across our house...just for fun, nothing serious...
