Hello Fellow CDs,
It's been such a WONDERFUL weekend. Met a fellow CD and went Hiking yesterday and it was AWESOME and we do plan to do it again. Thanx mynameisraj for the trail info and ur company.
So, since we are going to be doing this everyweekend, I figured it'd be anice idea to invite others as well... It'd be nice to get a group of fun loving, outdoorsy people who enjoy walking, biking, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, cottaging... driking margaritas I plan to walk every weekend 10 - 15 km along the lake (Lake Front Trail starting at Humbar Bay East Park going to Ontarioplace and back). Ideally start at like 7.30am and it takes about 2.5 hours max to get this done. This can be on going and further more we can plan other getaways....
Let's make the most of the great weather....
Let me know and we can chalk out a plan
Happy Spring Everyone! I'm going to the lake now...

Hope you guys had a great time last saturday. How many of you were there and how long did you guys spend at the falls.
As for the coming w/ends, how abt a one day picnic (maybe BBQ) at woodbine beach one of these w/ends. Also do you guys have any plans for the long w/end in May. How abt a road trip during the long w/end.
Cheers

Sure, would luv to join such network. Interested in trails, walks but have a limitation....son 1.5 yr old, so certain activities I would have to pass but would like to do what all I can. Also interested if any plans for long weekend. Pl let me know.
That 2.5 hr trail, is there any parking around ?
Also the trail you all went this weekend, can you pl provide location details ? Also is there a site where we can look for trails ?
Aashu,
Sent you a PM...
Links to the water front trail can be found at http://www.waterfronttrail.org/.
I usually go to this for walking/running and biking on week days since it's close to my place and on weekends plan to go to conservation areas for a change. But I think the conservation would onoly be on one day of the weekend like this past weekend did the conservation on saturday and then the water front on sunday.
Let me know if you need more information.

Sounds great!
Actually was down by Lakeshore blvd on Saturday and hiked for 2 hours from there to Dundas Square and plonked down at the Hard Rock Cafe and replenished all the cals I burned by downing a coupla pints and then hitting the Irani restaurant near Sam the record man. The hiked all the way back to Lakeshore to burn more calories.Good day I spent.
On Sunday, bought a new BarBQ and spent a coupla hrs getting it together out in the backyard and then again replenished all the burnt cals with a coupla margaritas, tandoori chicken and souvlaki with good latino music in the background. Actually in our neighborhood everybody was out with their BarBQ's and music blaring and the air heavy with manure and grass ( yeah that kind too!) smell! Good time spent by all!
Investpro,
I cna't decide if ur post makes me wanna go hike or eat.. DAMN I'm hungry now
