Hi All,

Summer is almost over and I am sure a lot CDs may have gone on a vac in difft parts of Canada and even US. I guess it would be nice for all of us to share the info, so the same can be used by all of us. For starters, we are planning to go to Quebec City and Mont Tremblant in the 2nd week of Sept. I found good info from follow websites:

http://visitmonttremblant.com/index-e.htm

AND

http://www.quebecregion.com/e/

We plan to go for 5-6 days. I am sure it's gonna be a great vac. Later during the Thanksgiving weekend we are gonna go to Agawa Canyon, once again the website for the same is:
http://www.agawacanyontourtrain.com/index.shtml

I sincerely req all fellow members to share their ideas and suggestions.

Happy vacationing !!!!!

Hi.

I plan to go out vacationing with my wife and toddler this Christmas/ New year. Was wondering if Jasper/ Banff would be a better bet than PEI?

If anyone of us CD has gone visiting these places, could they help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry Sudhish, I have no idea abt this place, but know it's good. I guess the best bet is search on google, if you find no responses on this thread. I am surprised as to why no one is posting his/her exp or knowledge.

I am sure, after I come back from vac, I shall narrate my exps.

banff is gorgeous any time of the year... if you ski, then going to banff in winter is excellent... norquay has runs that satisfy most skill levels... lake louise also has some fabulous ski runs (and is simply breathtaking)... if you have money to spend, stay at teh fairmont or rimrock when you are in banff... rimrock is a little cheaper than the fairmont, but the fairmont is an actual castle... should stay there atleast once... if money is a concern, then there are a lot of bread and breakfasts which are fairly economical...

there is a fairly good timeshare resort in banff called the rocky mountain resort... you can check it out at http://www.rockymountainresort.com/

ive stayed there a few times (before i discovered the rimrock) and its very nice... but now everytime we go to banff (which is quite often, since its only an hour and a half drive from calgary) we always stay at the rimrock...

expedia has some excellent deals for banff accomadation...

Not really. We are gonna go on our own. The only thing I bought from that website was the train tkt @ Agawa Canyon. We are driving there thru some country roads. Infact we'll also board on a ferry with our car at one point of time to reach Sault Ste. Marie. We should reach there by mid day and will have an o/night stay at either Comfort Inn or Best Western. Next day, we'll take the train ride to Agawa Canyon. One more night stay at Sault Ste. Marie and while coming back, I'll take a shorter route to come back to Toronto.

While going, as I said, we'll take a longer route, but it will be thru country side, so I guess we should enjoy the drive. And more importantly,we'll also go thru ferry in lake.

So no DEALS as such. But it should not be a very expensive vac. The reason we chose to go during Thanksgiving long weekend, is coz that is the best time to see fall colours.

Fellow members, pl post your experiences. It'll be great source of info for others.

Enjoy !!
