Hi Fellow CD's,

One of my co-worker's(Leslie) son, Griffin Schager (see photo below taken this past halloween) has been diagnosed with an extremely serious and advanced case of stomach cancer. This has all happened very suddenly and has come as a complete shock to everyone. He was taken in on Sunday for what was thought to be a case of Bowel obstruction and instead cancerous tumers were discovered. Upon closer inspection, they noticed that the tumers are wrapped around the spinal chord so an operation is not possible. Griffin is going to start radiation therapy to shrink the tumer and then hopefully operate it.

Leslie has asked me to contact everyone I know and to pass along Griffin's picture and ask you to say a prayer and send positive thoughts to Griffin and her family. She has also asked that you contact anyone that you know, to do the same. Leslie is one of the most positive and upbeat people that we could hope to know, and she is a big believer in the power of prayer and positive energy. She truly believes that we can all make a difference for her and Griffin to help them come through this situation. Please say a prayer, light a candle, think positive thoughts, anything you can to give them strength, energy, and hope through this unbelievably tough time.

Little Griffin LOVES TO READ and I'd like to request you to please sit with your child, neice, nephew and ask them to send a letter, post card, poem, prayer, or any special thought to this little boy as he goes through this ordeal. WE truly believe that all the positive energy through these will make him happier and stronger as he battles the cancer. Any kind words, happy thoughts that can be sent to him will be appreciated. but to put some rest to your mind... I work in global organization and we have offices all over the world. I happen to be in Toronto and the coworker happens to be in Virginia!

Now will u be able to pray for this boy since u have the logistics right?

ufff... this is so frustrating! Anyway, I'll not get frustrated... this is for a good cause and i don't wanna trivialise it in any manner!
