A friend of mine wants to settle in calgary. What are the house prices one can expect in calgary preferably near Downtown and where they could get indian groceries etc easily. He is looking for a house with 2 or 3 bed preferably a house rather than apartment. Being near schools is NOT a priority as it is elderly couple with kids not living with them.

for a one bed room aprt at least 1000 - 1300 will be a minimum you need to be ready in Downtown

Anyway, in general, northe East is where most of Indian Groceries,
but not safe place to stay

So most of new people prefer in south west, little economical
