Any Info about Calgary/Edmonton

I am trying to shift to Alberta . I need more info from Desis in Alberta. What are the rent for a decent house.? What are the cost of a detached house? Which one is better-Calgary/Edmonton? Where we have good IB schools( My daughter is in IB in Ontario-she will be transfering in Grade 11 ). I have my job in Oilfield, so i can move in either of city . Cost of living? My wife is a supply teacher in Toronto. She has to start new in Alberta? which is less difficult lace for her?
All suggestion are welcome.

In terms of weather, Calgary is much better than Edmonton. Also Calgary NW has the best IB public school(Sir Winston Churchill High School) in Alberta. Cost of living/Housing is lower in Edmonton than Calgary. In Calgary, detached houses cost anywhere from $450K onwards. But if your job is in Ft McMurray, I think it would be better to live in Edmonton since it would be nearer.

She must be what 16 or 17? She will return to India because dad says so. LOL. C'mon man. Please dont tell me that you know someone who moved with their 18 yr old daughter / son back to India.

KM,
I think you are not reading D_D's posts very carefully. He has clearly stated that, if he moves to India, his daughter will stay back in Canada.
But I am guessing that Indian children will anyways obey their parents.
On the subject,
I am hearing that with the current oil prices, Alberta is a very good place for Drillers (oil). So DD has good prospects in Alberta.
Desi's in Alberta can advice better.

I just moved to calgary a week back, presently staying at my friends place. It feels like something is missing. I loved GTA life

I do not know why people tries to take the thread in the different direction. Answer if you want otherwise just overlook. He is asking about calgary vs edmonton and some people taking about "moving to india" and "his daughter"

What the hell is in your mind? you will write anything on any post to spend your time?
