Which office is faster in processing citizenship - Hamilton or Mississaga. What I mean is less number of applications pending in the queue. This is for filing my daughter's citizenship. Please advise.
Do you have a choice in selecting the office? I do not think so. Yes if you give an address closer to a particular office the file is transferred to that for processing. if that is what you mean, generally Hamilton is faster than Mississauga. However cases can be delayed for any reason in any office.

Does anyone have an idea on total processing time from East York or Scarborough based on their experiences?
Also how long does it take to receive notification for test?
Can one give the test before the application and if yes, can one get the booklets to prepare? Since usually that is sent by CIC after receiving the application.

10 to 18 months

8 to 10 months

Yes, you can give the test on the date of your application if you go thru the Kolbe Group Schools.

If you go to school they provide one or else you can download it from the CIC web site.
Hi
Thanks for the info.
Publications available on CIC website are dated 2006 , 2007.
Are those current ones or do we need to call in to get the latest publications?
Do they send one before you qualify for applying?
Can one give the tests after application but before you receive their letter asking you to take a test?
Yes 2006/2007 are the latest publication available on CIC web site. They also have a 2008 publication in circulation which is not available on the web site.
I am not sure what you meant to ask. As said you can submit the Application and write the test on the same date.
You are asking to write the test after submitting the application but before the test notice. I am not sure how will that be possible. How you know about the test if they don't notify you.
Hope this helps.
