Hi Cds,
Couple of days ago, I was discussing this issue, as you know this is one of two current hot topics, off course the other one is economy with a friend. My friend, who have worked and lived in USA for 6-7 years, said: McCain. To me, it was a great surprise. Everyone is saying Obama, polls are saying Obama, world is saying Obama and he said McCain.
His argument (based on his experience while living in USA) was: World has been divided into two parts - White world and non-white world. These Americans would never ever like to see a non-white as US president.
I thought of doing a poll on CD.
So what do you think? Who will win US election?
Barack Obama
or
John McCain

I will not be voting in the poll, let me tell you why :
It does not matter who comes into the white house seat. Either McCain or Obama ultimately would not have / experience / education to better USA. All what happens for the country happens due to the beauracrats in the system.
Let us say for example that Obama wins the presidency. He will go on to elect the bauracrats who will decide the fate of how USA is run and the president is just a dummy who speaks what the beauracrats tell them to do so.
Again the Bauracrats (like Secretary of State, Defence, Finance) depend on the govt. servants who tell them what is good for the country and this in turn is passed on to the president who acts like a mouth peace.
In the end, it does not matter who wins....
Do you guys honestly think that George Bush had the insight to invade Iraq or to print $700 billion into the economy? of course not. All was decided by people (Govt. officials) who run the system.. In India, these people are the IAS officers.
Hope this helps..
Peace

Really - who the next commander-in-chief will be does not matter?
Of course a President has subordinates he relies on. Who he picks matters. McCain has made a dumb choice for vice presidency for example. Americans don't trust his judgement. So there you go...
But the president does have the final say. We cannot just demean what is possibly the most important position on this planet for crying out loud...
