Dude, TaiKwondo is actually Korean Karate. Although I don't know much about it - but I still regard it as a dance form (the way they are taught here). Nothing more. Do they apply those techniques to each other and do mock fights at the begining of the class. I don't think so. In India, kids actually practice with partners (and sometimes get hurt too - not safe always though).
Anyway, for the reasons I mentioned before I will personally always go for Judo and let them learn it first and then after they mature, put them to others like Karate, etc.
There are 2 places to do Judo in Missisuaga (if interested, check judo ontario to get the links) and 1 (or 2) in Brampton.
