Just want to know few details about the spouse sponsership time line after the file is tranfered to CHC New Delhi.

*How much time it will take if the file is tranfered after Dec 15th 2009.

**Is CHC New Delhi closed for Christmas & New Year????
If anyone have any idea then please reply.

***Due to holidays the processing time might get late.

Can you please provide me link or any cases issued in 2009. Bcoz all the timelines given in the site are mostly upto 2007 .

It took me 9 Months when I had applied in 2007.

But it took 2 months more becuase they had send a letter asking her to send then the passport to stamp the passport, which she rever received. We kept on waiting till I contacted them.

In total 11 Months from start to finish.

I guess the timeline is the same this year as well. I applied in 2007 and it took 5 months from start to finish. It delayed a little bit due to my wife had to get my last name added on her passport. This exercise alone ate our 2 months.

So, if all your papers are in order, I anticipate no more than 3 months to get visa stamped. Please make sure to include as many proof of contact with your wife as possible. This is the only component that could delay the case. Although, I didn't have phone records, I submitted about 20 - 25 emails and about 100 pictures (that was a bit too much, but I wanted her interview to be waived, which surely did happen).

So, as things go and if your papers are in order - no more than 3 months.

P.S. They process spouse visa pretty fast if the case is legit. Of-course they don't want to delay the taxes to Govt. by an additional immigrant and an eventual Canadian employee. lol

* After how many days CHC new delhi will response if application sent to them after 15th of December 2009.

** When will CHC new delhi update on the (CIC) client site about the 2nd stage (in process), permanent residence status.

*** Do they update on the status that they have sent a letter for the passport request.......or I come to know about this later.

I have been going through charcha, but still I have my queries as well.
