Gifted kids' program/IB

A few questions to those who know well about the above topics.

1. What is the differences between gifted kids program / IB ?
2. What benefits would be a kid who is already in gifted program have by looking into IB program? (In terms of University admissions)
3. Is going to IB really worth it? (again from a university admission prospective).

I am being a very Indian person here and would like to know the career prospects rather than developing the creative side etc etc.

Hi Timon, Sorry off topic, is your kid in gifted program ? CAn you pl shed some light on it ?

Did u do anything to prepare child etc ?

community pressure of IB/ Gifted admissions are not fruitful for all of us . It does not take a child any further ..... definitely not at the university level. entry in Uni see only your total grade and profile if you are applying in specific program.I had same question when my daughter came to high school.Just ask your self is it good to burden your child in situation where ... marks drops and Univ admission is some time difficult. for me not worth after all if the school program offers same benefits as of IB.of course Academic courses lead to Uni.
my only 2 cents advise to consider twice experimenting your child's future.

I believe "Every child is gifted"
its a very ridiculous way of selecting a bunch of kids & branding them gifted at an early age

and at the same time ignoring other kids.
