Looks like the protestors innings at Delhi is over and the Deny Justice team has opened the innings, with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India saying that "A Swift trial should not be at the cost of a fair trial". It is not surprising, since we have found out during the past few years that our Prime Minister MMS himself is a very good batsman for that team.
It is as if this was the first incident the people have suddenly stood up and started protesting. Decade after decade after decade, the judicial system, has been found to be woefully inadequate for the people of the country who want to lead an ordinary peaceful life. The long arm of the law works only in the case of the common man and is afraid to touch the rich and powerful, when they do wrong.
Why should a swift trial ever be at the cost of a fair trial? A bicycle goes forward and serves its purpose only it is "swift" and the rider loses balance and falls down when it does not even provide the basic minimum "swift"ness required. This is precisely what is happening as of now to the people of India who are dependent on our judicial system.
The tragedy is that people in high places are not seeing the warning signs like the demonstrations that have started frequenting Delhi. They blame it on the media.

Nehru was a rabid anti-Indian and his only interest was to have affairs with women. He never allocated funds for strengthening the democratic institutions, judiciary being one of them. Indira, after she famously lost her legal case, cannibalized the judiciary and introduced discretionary promotions in Supreme Court and thus cannibalized it. She fine tuned the practise of buying the judiciary by providing the judges a very lucrative and handsome assignments post retirement provided they decide the cases in favour of Kangress. Now the corruption of Supreme Court judges (Majority, not all) is completed. However, MSM and other people still talk about judiciary as if it is very honest.
To give the kind of morons we have, ex chief justice of SC ; GKB famously said that a girl who has been raped should be married off to the rapist. Lol! I am sure many of you will not believe me. Google before beating me with brickbats. These rascals come up with very innovative ideas/suggestions/findings. Some joker appointed by Lallu came up with a very fertile idea and concluded that Godhra train carnage was due to self-combustion and that the passengers in the train compartment did not leave not because the doors were barred but they were sleeping! Lol! Now judiciary has become another tool in hands of Kangress. Manu Singhvi from whom our dear CD friend Puttoo borrows the language, (Certainly not the ideas) asked for sex from a woman High Court judge for promoting her. His tapes might be still be on Youtube. Our Poodlesingh is happy to rehabilitate him. He vanished for a few months and now again he is limlight again. This speaks a lot about MSM and Kangress attitude.
Santosh Hegde, that lackey of Kangress fixed Yeddy. Not that Yeddy was innocent. The thing is that mining scam was brainchild of Kangress and was equally rampant in Kangress and sleeping beauty Deve Gowda too. But Hegde fixed Yeddy and finished BJP.
The master stroke, of course, is SC judgement in Lokpal in Gujarat. R.A. Mehta is Kangtress mule who would deliver a judgement against Modi at strategic moment and will ensure baby face Rahul and Kangress is back in saddle.
My sense says that Modi is now finished unless he can appeal to a larger SC bench and get a favourable ruling.

A Delhite in Toronto
Again happened to see yesterday CNN-IBN coverage by Rajdeep Sardesai.
There was this panelist, a woman activist who batted for the "juvenile" criminal of the six. She said as he was 17 and half years old, he was protected by Child Protection Laws and should not be given harsh punishment and that otherwise she will not be able to "reform" him.
Of the six, this "child" was the most diabolic of them all, lured the girl into the bus with false ticket and committed inhuman things to the girl.
The panelist continued saying 'That "Child" was on the street ever since he was 13, never knew the affection of the parents' and went on and on.
With such people around the crimes are going to increase for ever and most despicable things happening to the victims.
What lenient laws applied in European countries and the Americas, with sprawling land area and fewer population, may not apply to Asia, especially our country.
The result of our permissiveness can be seen in the number of road accidents and fatalities, highest in the world. Other Asian countries like Malaysia, Singapore or the Arab Gulf countries have very strict laws and severe punishment. Everything seem to be orderly there and people lead a peaceful life.
Why should we not emulate our own Asian countries?
