Hi friends, I left Canada after filing my PR application because my project ended. I spent 1.5 years in Canada and applied under Canadian Express Class category.
I have given my legal representative's address in the application for all communication. I have not received medical request yet. My application is still in 'Application received' stage after 6 months.
I have two questions
1. Do I need to inform CIC that I have left Canada and send them my new residential address in India?
2. If yes, how? (is e-mail OK? Or do I have to send some signed documents?)
Will informing CIC cause any problems? (Like transferring my case to India office which might take longer after having waited months for processing at Ottawa office). Or will not informing cause any problems? What does CIC normally expect in such situations?

There you will note that you have to inform them after the 1st of January 2015 and make an application subsequent to that and there are quite a few formalities associated with it. Now that you have retained a lawyer to look after your Immigration affairs, I would urge you to get in touch with him and find out from him through what system he has applied for you, six months ago. My question to you is, how did he apply through the Express entry system at that time. That will be the first question you will have to ask him. The NEW system will start in the next few days.
Not that I want to know, If your job qualifications are in demand and you have applied for the PR , as an Immigrant in Canadian Experience Class and you ALSO have the Language requirements, I can answer your queries here. Also not knowing the exact date when you applied thro' the lawyer and your exact date of departure, it becomes a lot more difficult to respond without the basic facts. So, carry on smartly and follow the process the lawyer will direct you with. I don't want to cross the wires.
